Liberty Mutual Insurance’s Northwest Business Insurance operation today announced substantial savings for superior safety performances by employers in the Montana Liberty Premier Contractors Group. More than 300 policyholders will collectively receive $1,116,860 in premium adjustments and premium surcharge savings. This equates to a near 20 percent savings on their workers compensation insurance for the policy year July 1, 2011 to July 1, 2012. The group’s loss ratio for this policy year was 28 percent, its best performance over the last five years.

Since the program’s inception in 1997, contractor group members have worked with Liberty Mutual Insurance to establish and maintain comprehensive risk control plans and safety training for management and employees. In addition, employers have benefited from Liberty Mutual’s expertise in claim services, including early return to work programs and the involvement of nurse case managers.

“Liberty Mutual Insurance has demonstrated its commitment to our great state by partnering with Montanans to help improve workplace conditions,” said Fred Miller, ARM, AU, Montana Safety and Health Bureau. “Not only do the contractor group members receive top-notch safety assistance, they also realize rewards as they partner to reduce workplace injuries.”
