Martin will marshal Liberty Mutual’s global construction and surety capabilities to help clients and brokers manage the complex risks they face
BOSTON (Nov. 10, 2022) – Liberty Mutual Insurance today announced the appointment of Jeff Martin as Construction Distribution Executive for its Global Risk Solutions (GRS) division, which provides a full range of commercial and specialty insurance, surety, and reinsurance solutions to businesses around the world.
Reporting to GRS Manager of Distribution Jeffrey McFarland, Martin will develop wholistic solutions for brokers and clients by bringing together industry-leading construction risk management and surety products and services from across GRS, including builder’s risk & contractor’s equipment, environmental liability, designers and contractors professional liability, wrap-up, subcontractor default insurance, and risk engineering.
“Jeff’s appointment underscores our commitment to being a leader in construction risk management and strategically growing our $1.7 billion book,” said McFarland. “His tremendous expertise in complex construction risks coupled with a focus on collaboration, will help brokers protect their clients from the tremendous risks they face in today’s challenging construction market.”
Based in the Atlanta area, Martin has more than 30 years of insurance experience, the last six of which have been at Liberty Mutual. Most recently, Martin served as Director of Elite Underwriting and managed a complex book of profitable construction business. Beyond carrier and broker experience, he owned an agency.
