June 30, 2015 - Liberty Mutual Insurance has appointed Jamie Trish to President of its Northeast Business Insurance operations effective July 1st. Ms. Trish will be responsible for the profitable growth of business in the region that includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Ms. Trish’s appointment coincides with the retirement of Michael Christiansen, whose career with Liberty Mutual Insurance spanned nearly 30 years, most recently serving as President of Northeast Business Insurance operations. Ms. Trish joined Liberty Mutual in 2006. She has been part of the Northeast leadership team for three years, serving as Regional Vice President for the New York Metro region.

“In addition to quickly establishing strong relations with agents and brokers in her region, Jamie expanded our market in Metro New York and achieved outstanding financial and operational results there,” said Thomas Troy, executive vice president for Business Insurance Operations. “Her strong leadership and tactical execution in all aspects of the business will serve her well as she continues to work with the Northeast team to be the premier carrier for agents and brokers in that region.”

Prior to her Regional Vice President role, Trish was a senior leader in commercial lines underwriting operations, overseeing the delivery and implementation of commercial lines underwriting and rating systems and processes. From 2008 to 2010, she was Director of Operations for Liberty Mutual Reinsurance, a position in which she led business strategy and cross-functional management projects to achieve improved financial results.

Ms. Trish is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and earned her MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management.
