The Research Institute is comprised of four centers, which provide a multidisciplinary framework to enhance our research capability and impact, a Knowledge Translation Unit, which promotes broader application of findings through collaboration and communication. Our centers include:
Center for Injury Epidemiology – conducts original epidemiological research on risk factors for injury and studies the burden of injury.
Center for Physical Ergonomics – studies the causes and mechanisms of injuries with a focus on musculoskeletal disorders.
Center for Behavioral Sciences – researches the impact of behavioral, cognitive and organizational factors surrounding injuries and highway collisions.
Center for Disability Research – investigates disability and ways to achieve safe and sustained return-to-work outcomes for injured or disabled workers.
