Scholarship Awards

People get opportunities to do responsible things everyday.  And when a small act grows into a big result, it deserves recognition.   

The Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholars™ Scholarship program awards scholarships to five qualified students who initiate a service or volunteer program that directly impacts or actively engages their campus community.  In addition to the scholarship funds, Liberty Mutual hosts the students on a trip to Boston where they meet with Liberty Mutual executives, learn about career opportunities and enjoy a tour of the city.

To be eligible for the Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholar program, you must:

• Be a current freshman, sophomore or junior attending a full time, undergraduate, four-year-degree degree program at an accredited college or university in the United States;
• Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better;
• Submit a completed application using our fully-automated online process

Discuss by defining your ‘policy’ and sharing your story with specific examples of the sustainable service or volunteer program that you initiated on your college campus. Your essay should demonstrate your commitment to responsibility and how your efforts will continually impact your campus.
