Our People – Highly Experienced IH Specialists
Liberty Mutual has one of the largest and most experienced Industrial Hygiene consulting teams in the business. Our 100% full time industrial hygiene specialists average over 20 years experience as safety and health professionals and over 75% are Certified Industrial Hygienists and/or hold advanced degrees in Industrial Hygiene. Over half are dual certified as a CIH and CSP or PE.
Our Lab – Continuously Accredited
We are one of only 14 original AIHA accredited laboratories that have maintained continuous accreditation since the start of the program more than 30 years ago. In fact we just received AIHA's re-accreditation for 2009 - 2011. Liberty Mutual participates in AIHA’s Proficiency Analytical Testing Program for metals, solvents, asbestos fiber counting, bulk asbestos ID, silica, organic diffusive monitors, beryllium, environmental lead, compressed breathing air, and pharmaceuticals. We have experienced chemists with an average of over 15 years experience with 90 percent having advanced degrees. Liberty Mutual invests in a full-time QC Coordinator and 100 percent of our reports go through Peer Review before being signed by the Lab Manager for release. The laboratory recently completed a multi-million dollar expansion that has resulted in better space and equipment for improved customer service. Sampling media is included in laboratory fees and pump loans are available. The Laboratory is located within our world renowned Research Institute for Safety, Health and Disability Management.
