Quick storm response keeps fleet on the road If customers relied on your company for critical service 24/7, where would you turn when a freak hailstorm threatened to close you down?
That was the dilemma faced by one Liberty Mutual Insurance customer, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning service company. Most of its fleet of vehicles was damaged by a powerful storm that dropped softball-sized hail, shattering windshields and denting vans. And the timing couldn’t have been worse, as many of their customers required immediate HVAC service as a result of their own storm damage Weatherproofing our customer’s reputation Immediately, we set in motion a plan to get our customer’s fleet appraised and repaired, while protecting their business. We dispatched our appraisers – some from out of state – to quickly assess the damage. We contacted repair shops across the state to ensure the vehicles could be serviced quickly. Meanwhile, we arranged for a fleet of rented vehicles to be delivered to our customer. That allowed the company to continue servicing its customers with minimal disruption. Protecting your business like it’s our own Vehicles can be repaired. Often, customer relationships cannot. By working closely with our customer to keep workers on the road, we helped limit the storm’s damage to its fleet, not its reputation.
