LMG Schedules Q2 2010 Earnings Conference Call

Liberty Mutual Group (“LMG” or the "Company") is scheduled to review its second quarter 2010 financial results on August 5, 2010. At 11:00 a.m. ET that day, Edmund F. Kelly, Liberty Mutual Group Chairman and CEO, will host a conference call to discuss the Company's financial results.

Liberty Mutual Agency Corporation

On May 10, 2010, the Company's subsidiary, Liberty Mutual Agency Corporation, filed a Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") with intent to form a public company comprising its Agency Markets Strategic Business Unit ( see press release ).

Safeco Corporation

The acquisition of Safeco Corporation (“Safeco”) by Liberty Mutual Group (“Liberty”) was completed on September 22, 2008 (the “Effective Date”) (see press release).  In connection with the acquisition, Safeco became a subsidiary of Liberty.  Pursuant to the terms of the Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of April 23, 2008, on the Effective Date all shares of Safeco common stock were cancelled.

7.50% Senior Notes due 2036 - These notes have been provided the benefit of (i) the Replacement Capital Covenant entered into by the Company on March 7, 2007 in connection with the issuance of $700,000,000 aggregate principal amount of the Company's Series A Junior Subordinated Notes and $300,000,000 aggregate principal amount of the Series B Junior Subordinated Notes; and (ii) the Replacement Capital Covenant entered into by the Company on May 29, 2008 in connection with the issuance of $1,250,000,000 aggregate principal amount of the Company's Series C Junior Subordinated Notes.   Please click here  for additional information.
