Boston's 4th of July on the EsplanadeLiberty Mutual is proud to be the official sponsor of the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular,
America's premier Independence Day celebration. On July 4th, 2010, Boston Pops conductor Keith Lockhart led America in celebrating its birthday, joined by Country Music superstar Toby Keith and host Craig Ferguson of the CBS "Late, Late Show." The free outdoor concert, which is produced by Boston 4 Productions, draws an estimated 800,000 concertgoers.
Those joining the fun from home watched the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular live on CBS Television. New for 2010, the entire concert was broadcast in HD (high definition), courtesy of Liberty Mutual. In addition, the final 20 minutes of the broadcast, featuring the dazzling fireworks display, was presented commercial free by Liberty Mutual. Bring Back the 4th™
Liberty Mutual also helped America celebrate Independence Day in 2010 with Bring Back the 4th™, an online contest allowing U.S. cities and towns to compete for ten $10,000 grants to help save local Fourth of July traditions such as fireworks, parades, and ceremonies honoring veterans.
