Humberto Pozo began his career as an attorney, and while exploring new options, he found that, with his legal background, Casualty underwriting was a great fit. Working out of the Miami office, he interacts with brokers across Latin America to build business opportunities.
Your take on underwriting?
“It’s not just about analysis and premium charges. It’s a person-to-person business. If you’re honest and trustworthy, your clients will respond to that. And as an underwriter for Latin American clients, I have to know the risks, exposures and trends for each country.”
